BC省府在大温低陆平原10个地点的高摩擦路面改造工程已经完工,希望在干湿天气条件下减少汽车追尾事故。
这些路面使用专门的骨料和树脂处理涂层,旨在增强道路表面的摩擦性,以减少汽车打滑。2017年,BC省就发生了35万次汽车相撞的事故,平均每天发生960次。

1号高速公路的4个地点
北温的Capilano Road off-ramp (westbound)
北温的Lonsdale Avenue off-ramp (eastbound/westbound)
本拿比的Willingdon Avenue off-ramp (eastbound)
高贵林的Brunette Avenue off-ramp (eastbound/westbound)
7号高速的4个地点:
枫树岭的203 Street intersection (eastbound)
枫树岭的207 Street intersection (eastbound)
Pitt Meadows的Kennedy Road intersection (eastbound/westbound)
枫树岭的Laity Street intersection (eastbound)
10号高速的两个地点:
素里的120 Street/Scott Road intersection (eastbound/westbound)
素里的176 Street intersection (eastbound/westbound)
该项目已经于去年就开始工作时,因天气恶劣而推迟完工。该项目耗资390万元,由省交通部和ICBC合作完成。BC省和ICBC都将负责监测这些十字路口的道路改造的效果。
